Great job USAMA Demo Team at last nights Farmer Market performance! We have heard many wonderful comments about the USAMA Demo Team. The creativity you demonstrated with your skits was fantastic and the audience thouroughly enjoyed the show! Your hard work and dedication during the last six months is paying off. For those students interested in participating in next years Demo Team keep training hard as we are starting to look for the next group of students to invite.

“Bring A Friend Week” is back!

Bring a friend with you to class Monday, August 13th through Saturday, August 18th. It is the perfect opportunity to share what you do with your friends and family! A completed liability waiver is required so stop by the front desk to pick one up.

The Beach Training was a big hit!

The annual USAMA beach training was a big hit! This was USAMA-SLO's biggest group so far. We look forward to this USAMA martial arts tradition every year. Thanks to all those who showed their support by training with us on the beach. Also, a special thanks to the Debacker family for all those great photos! Keep your eyes open for more great pictures on the website!

Beach Training Tips

Remember to bring these suggested items to the Beach Training in Santa Cruz:
- Beach blanket and umbrella
- Beach towels and swim suit
- USAMA gi (full uniform), belt, and USAMA t-shirt
- Sunscreen and camera
- Warm clothes and a change of clothes
- Food and drink
- Large plastic bag for wet, sandy gi
- Small plastic bag for belt - Keep separate from gi
- Beach toys

Beach Training Ride and Parking Passes Have Arrived!

If you pre-paid for your ride and parking passes for after the Beach Training on July 14th, you can pick them up at the front desk. We always have a good time playing on the boardwalk after the beach training!

Bo Seminar

Help USAMA raise money for Muscular Dystrophy - Ends June 27th

Students and families, we are participating in a charity fund raiser on behalf of the Muscular Dystrophy Association. For us, the United States Academy of Martial Arts is more than a martial arts program, but a vehicle for us to positivley impact the lives of those in our circle of influence. People suffering from Muscular Dystrophy in our community need some assistance and we are glad to participate in their effort to raise money. I am participating in their "Lock Up" campain where they take me away to a "Jail" (actually a restuaunt) where they feed us bread and water for a portion of the day. To get out of "Jail" they are asking me to raise my bail : )

Beach Training - Discount Ride and Parking Passes

If you would like to purchase discount ride and parking passes for the Santa Cruz Boardwalk please let us know ASAP! The discount ride passes are $22 each and the discount parking passes are $5. We will have a sign-up sheet at the front desk. We will also need your CASH payment (sorry, no checks or credit cards) by June 26th as we need to have our act together for the Santa Cruz Boardwalk administraters soon.
