Sensei, Mary, and Sam Cavaliere welcome William James to their family!

William James Cavaliere was born on December 12, 2009 at 9:57 AM. Will weighed 6 lbs. 12 oz. and measured 18 inches long. Mary and Will are healthy and doing well! We are so blessed!

Where in the World is Sempai Drew?

Many of you have asked, "What ever happened with Sempai Drew?"
Sempai Drew is a Cal Poly student who went home for the summer break. Some of you know that Sempai Drew came to us as a blue belt under Shihan Krupa before he came out to attend Cal Poly. He has progressed to 1st Kyu Brown/Black belt with us and is now preparing to test for his Shodan Rank (Black Belt). As Sempai Drew was Shihan's student originally, Shihan would like to have Sempai Drew test for his black belt at his Dojo. We expect to see "Sensei" Drew return in September 09!!! Wish him well on his test...

Skills Day at Avila was a big hit!

The USAMA Skills Day training at Avila was a big hit. We had approximately 50 students training on the beach. The challenges were fun and training in the ocean is an experience one won't soon forget. Thanks to all those volunteers who helped make the day a success!

2009 USAMA Spring Tournament

New Purple Belt Class coming soon!
We are pleased to announce the addition of a second Purple Belt class. The class will be offered Tuesdays and Thursdays at 4:00 - 4:45pm. The new schedule goes into effect on Tuesday, February 17th, 2009.
